Booking Costs & Hire Rates

Townsend Memorial Hall offers flexible and affordable hire options to suit a wide range of events, from community meetings and regular classes to private parties and functions. Our hire rates are designed to remain accessible while supporting the ongoing running and maintenance of the hall. Charges vary depending on the rooms hired, the duration of the booking, and the type of event. Where applicable, hire includes use of tables, chairs, AV facilities, and kitchen equipment. Full details of our current booking costs and options are set out below to help you plan with confidence. 

Main Hall & Kitchen

  • Downstairs Hall - Full Room £12/hr
  • Downstairs Room 1 £6.50/hr
  • Downstairs Room 2 £6.50/hr
  • Upstairs Hall £13/hr
  • Kitchens £6/hr

    (in addition to room hire cost)

  • Kitchens £3 per booking

    (for Clifton Community Groups)

  • Children's Parties By negotiation
  • Whole Building per Day By negotiation

Other Equipment Available

  • Small Table Hire £1.50 each
  • Large Table Hire £2.50 each
  • Folding Chair Hire 35p each

Notes

  • All hall hire charges include tables and chairs, AV equipment and crockery and utensils (only if the kitchen is also booked).
  • The minimum hire charge is 1 hour for any group /individual irrespective of status.
  • Please note that any bookings that over-run will be charged pro-rata in half-hourly segments.
